Capacity Changes

Capacity Charges are based on the highest amount of energy you are estimated to use or consume during a month (or year in some locations). Essentially, you pay a fee to ensure that the electricity you might use is available in your local network whenever you need to use it. It is an agreement made with the DNO and can be changed on an annual basis if required.

You are charged for your pre-agreed capacity level. If you consume over the amount agreed, you are charged excess capacity charges which are usually double the the standard charges. Eneco can increase or decrease your agreed capacity to suit your business’ operational needs.
